Responsibility for the Environment

We are aware of our responsibility for the environment and are working to reduce our negative ecological impact with the help of our environmental management system, which has been certified to ISO 14001 since 1996. As part of our materiality analysis, we have identified three areas in which we want to become involved: Climate and energy, material use and circular economy, and ecologically innovative products.

We see stopping climate change as one of the greatest challenges of our time. As WISKA, we want to make our contribution by reducing our own emissions and those along our value chain.
As a manufacturing company, material consumption is a key issue for us. We are therefore committed to the sustainable use of resources along our entire supply chain. Our commitment includes striving for "zero waste" and a circular economy.
Thanks to our own product development and production, we are ideally placed to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy with ecologically innovative products and to support our customers on their path to climate neutrality.

Our current objectives include:

  • Development of a WISKA climate strategy to define our path to climate neutrality
  • Development of products with a significantly reduced product carbon footprint (PCF)
  • Sustainable packaging concept to reduce waste in our supply chain
  • Investing in our own electricity production by expanding our photovoltaic system
  • Conversion of the vehicle fleet: electric cars & vans by 2027
  • Promotion of environmentally friendly deliveries to suppliers and customers
  • Our internal digitalization project is in progress and is making more and more business processes paperless and efficient

This is where we stand today – this is what we have implemented so far:

We have also implemented the following:

  • Certified environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 since 1996.
  • Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculated for all products on our homepage in the "Industry & Trade" section! If you are interested, please ask your account manager.
  • Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) Scope 1+2 calculated for 2019-2023 and Scope 3 screening carried out in 2023 for 2022.
  • First products with significantly reduced PCF
  • Digital invoice receipt check and digital invoicing to our customers.
  • 100% conversion to LED incl. presence detectors in less frequented rooms.
